Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about certification, rentals, machines, and studio policies.
Do I need certification?
Yes. Certification is required before renting any Webfabrics longarm machine.
How much does rental cost?
Rental is $25 per hour with a 3-hour minimum reservation.
Can I bring my own thread?
No. To ensure the best quilting experience and protect our machines, we ask that all renters use only thread provided or approved by Webfabrics.
Not all quilting threads perform the same on a longarm machine. Thread weight, fiber content, finish, and quality can all affect stitch quality and machine performance. Using approved thread helps minimize thread breaks, tension issues, and other problems so you can spend more time quilting and less time troubleshooting.
If you have a specific thread color in mind, please let us know before your rental. We'll do our best to have an approved option available for your project.
What happens after certification?
You'll schedule your complimentary Graduation Session, complete a monitored rental, and then receive access to independent rentals.
Can I rent if I've used a longarm elsewhere?
All renters must complete Webfabrics certification to ensure familiarity with our machines and procedures.
What size quilts can I quilt?
Our machines can accommodate projects ranging from small wall hangings to king-size quilts depending on the machine selected.
What if I need help?
Staff assistance is available during business hours whenever possible.
