Instructor Bio: | Tina Freudenberger has been working with textiles for much of her life. From screenprinting and embroidery, to working with Quilts Beyond Borders, Tina’s love of fiber arts runs deep. When she learned to combine fabric with her love of animals though, her creativity took off. Tina’s passion is to create art that highlights animals that are imperiled and that can then be sold to support animal causes. Her animal portraits continue to win awards in national quilt competitions. Carol Monti started traditional quilting over 10 years ago and eventually found her way to creating animal portraits using raw-edge applique. Her love for nature and animals clearly shows not only in the animal portraits she creates, but in her landscapes and the birds and bugs that find their way into her fiber art pieces. Carol’s landscape art quilts have won several awards in regional and national quilt shows. |
