May Monthly Art Quilt Workshop: Inspirations From Images - Kerry Faraone

May 24: Inspiration from Images
How can you use photography and art images in your Art Quilt Design?
Class Overview:
In our upcoming class, we’ll start by reviewing last month’s color selection and taking a look at each member’s pieces. This is a great chance to see the variety of creative choices and learn from each other’s work.
We’ll also begin exploring how to incorporate photographs into quilts—a fun way to add personal meaning and storytelling to your projects. We’ll discuss techniques for printing, transferring, and preserving images on fabric.
Next, we'll move into our session on borders and bindings, with a special emphasis on Facings. We’ll go over the steps involved in creating Facings and compare them to traditional bindings, with samples and demos to guide you.
To finish, we’ll introduce the homework for the next chapter, so come ready to take notes and ask questions!
