Join us for an exciting hands-on class where you'll learn how to create the cozy and stylish Quilted Hovea Jacket—a popular pattern by Megan Nielsen Patterns. Perfect for confident beginners and seasoned sewists alike, this workshop is designed to guide you through every step of quilting and garment construction in a fun, supportive environment. Taught by Kiley Ferons, sewist, quilt maker, author and fabric designer.
In this quilting and garment sewing class, you’ll:
- Learn about garment construction techniques for jackets
- Customize your jacket with optional pockets, length variations, and binding finishes
- Work with high-quality quilting cotton, linen blends, or pre-quilted fabrics.

Whether you're looking to expand your sewing skills or make a trendy handmade coat for the season, this quilted jacket sewing class is a must! Seats are limited, so reserve your spot today and sew your own handmade quilted coat you'll be proud to wear.
You will need a quilt that is 70” X 70”. It does not need to be bound. If you don't want to cut up a quilt, come to the June 18 class to learn about other options, from 6 - 8 pm, to get help with measurements and to see some quilted coat samples. Measuring for the Hovea Quilt Pattern

Requirements: | Working sewing machine (rentals are available from Let It Bee for $15 per class). Sewing kit: scissors, pins or clips, measuring tape, seam ripper, thread and bobbins. Pattern (see link in class description). |
