Patchwork Quilted Bow Sew-along

Inspired by one of our favorite projects from ModaVation, join us for a fun and relaxed sew along as we make the Patchwork Quilted Bow by Brooklyn Dawn.

This is not a formal class, but rather a chance to gather with other quilters, try a new skill, and enjoy sewing in a supportive environment. Staff will be available to answer questions, offer tips, and help troubleshoot if needed, but there will be no step-by-step instruction.

The Patchwork Quilted Bow is a quick, satisfying project that's perfect for using mini charm packs, charm packs, or favorite fabric scraps. Make one as a hair bow, gift topper, bag embellishment, seasonal décor, or create several to give as handmade gifts.

Please bring your pattern, fabric, sewing machine, and basic sewing supplies. Be sure to review the supply list before the event so you're ready to
sew.

Supply List

Thank you for registering for our Patchwork Quilted Bow Sew Along! Please bring the following supplies so you're ready to sew.

Required

• Patchwork Quilted Bow pattern by Brooklyn Dawn
• Fabric as specified in the pattern (mini charm packs, charm packs, or favorite scraps work beautifully)
• Coordinating thread
• Sewing machine in good working order
• Basic sewing supplies:
  • Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
  • Fabric scissors
  • Wonder Clips or pins
  • Seam ripper
  • Fabric marking tool

Recommended Preparation

To make the most of our sewing time, we strongly recommend fusing and quilting your fabric panels at home before the sew along. Arriving with your quilted panels ready to cut will allow you to focus on constructing and finishing your bow during the event.

If you prefer, you may complete the fusing and quilting during the sew along, but you may not have enough time to finish your bow before the event ends.

Optional

• Extra fabric to make additional bows
• Decorative embellishments, clips, elastic, or hardware for finishing
• Small iron and pressing mat (classroom irons will also be available)

Before You Arrive

• Review the pattern before the event.
• Make sure your sewing machine is clean, threaded, and ready to sew.
• Wind at least one bobbin before class.

Please Note: This is a community sew along rather than a formal class. Staff will be available to answer questions and offer guidance, but there will not be step-by-step instruction. We look forward to spending a fun day sewing with you!
