Message from Jaydan:

"Hi! My name is Jaydan and I am a third generation sewing machine technician from Australia. I have a passion for all things mechanical, having had knowledge from both my father and grandfather passed down to me. During my apprenticeship I learned to repair and maintain classic brands such as Singer, Elna, Bernina, Pfaff, Husqvarna, and many more. I received factory training from Janome, Brother, Elna, and Juki on how to service and repair the newest models and technology the sewing industry has to offer. I give service and repairs to all makes and models of sewing machines, sergers, and embroidery machines. I also offer service to industrial machines such as: walking foot machines, bartack, lock stitch, and sergers."

Jaydan does not service at this time the jumbo bobbin Bernina's.

Your Life In Stitches

YLIS
At Your Life In Stitches, we specialize in providing our customers with custom quilting services. Since 2012, we have been transforming t-shirts, jerseys and other special memorabilia into unique custom quilts. Our custom quilts do not need to include t-shirts, often we are taking another theme whether that is a favorite color, color palette or theme and incorporating that into our design. We take pride in our ability to create special quilts for our customers.

T-Shirt and Memory Quilts

T-Shirt and Memory quilts allow you to use your treasured shirts and other materials to create a keepsake quilt. We create a variety of styles and will work with your to understand the style that works best for your quilts.

The collage style T-Shirt quilt allows more t-shirts to be used in your quilt. Each shirt is cut with regards to the designs on the shirt. The blocks are then arranged to form a unique collage of t-shirt designs. These prices include cutting your shirts, sewing the quilt top, backing fabric, batting, quilting and binding.

Sashing or Framed quilts can either have a standard color between the blocks or each block can be "framed" in a complimentary color to the shirt. In most cases we add an outside border fabric. We can use any parts of the shirt; front, back, sleeve or other parts that include the graphic.

About the process:

We ask that each shirt be washed without fabric softener. Each shirt should be marked to indicate which part you would like included in the quilt. Please do not cut up the shirts. To mark the shirt - take a small sticky pad and use the following legend. Front Only, Back Only, Front and Back, Optional. Each sticky note should be stapled to the collar of the shirt. This helps us understand what is most important to include in your quilt. Having a few optional pieces that can be included is very helpful as we lay the pattern our and need to balance the colors or sizes.

Each quilt is cut allowing the maximum use of the graphic. Each piece is backed with a woven fusible material to prevent stretching. The cost of prep for each shirt is $5. We request a $150.00 deposit at the time of drop off. Quilts will take approximately 3-6 weeks to complete depending on the current number of quilts in queue.
